Using the Personalization Salesforce Package
S4S version 2.900.18222.3 and above allows the manipulation of the custom S4S xDB contact facet from within Salesforce. There is a lot of functionality included in this package, but the basic function of rules based personalization within Sitecore is the same.
To access the personalization screen select Sitecore Personalization from the dropdown list of actions in the Salesforce contact or lead.

The Sitecore Personalization screen shows the current mappings between data stored in the Salesforce contact or lead and the corresponding xDB facet as well as which profiles have had their profile key values stored in the facet. In addition, the screen enables the field mapping configuration screen to be accessed.
