Salesforce T4S Custom Settings

Salesforce T4S Custom Settings

The T4S package installs a custom setting with some default settings.

Two settings must be updated before continuing with the T4S package configuration.

Navigate to Admin - Setup, and search for “Custom Settings“

  • Select “Manage“ next to the “T4S Custom Settings

  • Select “Default“ to view the current T4S Custom Settings

  • Ensure the following:

    • Enable User Credentials“ checked
This will allow the entry of the Content Manager default user credentials, which T4S will use when connecting to the TRIM Server.

    • Encryption Key“ equals the same encryption key as set within the web.config on the T4S Server

Other optional settings.

  • Disable All Triggers
Disable and turn off all T4S internal APEX triggers

  • Disable Auto Add Triggers
Disable and turn off the T4S internal APEX trigger that auto-creates Trim Records when a File or Attachment is added to a T4S-configured sObject, where the T4S-configured sObject setting has “Auto Add File Or Attachment“ is true.
See Salesforce sObject & Custom sObject Configuration

  • Disable Container Record Trigger
Disable and turn off T4S internal APEX trigger when Salesforce is updated with newly inserted Container meta-data

  • Disable Linked Record Creation
Disable the Visualforce page button to allow a User to link Salesforce to an existing Content Document TRIM Record, that did not originate from Salesforce.

  • Disable User Location Input
Disable the Visualforce page field that allows a user to manually enter the Content Manager Record URI.

  • Enable Preserve Record
    Deprecated.
Should default to unchecked, so users are unable to change the value on the T4S Visualforce pages.

  • Record Name Regular Expression
The regular expression to run on a Trim Record title or Container Title before saving to Content Manager

  • Custom Download Page
The default download Content Manager Record URL if no value has been added to the Salesforce T4S Trim Server record “Record Link Address“ field.

  • Disable Attachment Grid Link
Remove the Visualforce page DataGrid link that links to the Content Document

  • Disable Change Attachment
Disable the Visualforce page button that allows a user to upload a new document to replace the existing Trim Record causing a new revision to be made.

  • Disable Deletion
Hides the “Delete“ button from the user on the T4S Edit Trim Record Viusalforce page.

  • Disable New Linked Record
Once a new Trim Record has been created from a Salesforce File upload, T4S is able to track where else that File upload has been linked to with a Salesforce.
Disabling the “Disable New Linked Record“ checkbox will stop T4S from keeping track of the additional linked associations.

  • Enable Logging
    Deprecated

  • Enable User Credentials
Allow new and updated user TRIM Credentials to be entered.
User can enter their own TRIM Credentials that will override the default credentials.
But they will need to ensure they are always up to date, otherwise their interactions with the Content Manager Server will fail authentication.

  • Enable Upload Button
Display the “New Trim Record“ button on the Visualforce page.
This allows the user to create a new Trim Record by uploading a new File or selecting an existing file from a list that has yet to be turned into a Trim Record.
