Add a new HTTP/S download

Click Add/Authenticate… on the menu and choose HTTP/S download. Enter the details of your connection in the dialog.

If the download source requires authentication, enter the username and password here. Authentication is optional, but if either username or password is specified then both must be. Basic, Digest and NTLM authentication schemes are currently supported.

This type of connection expects an HTML page to be served at the specified URL, and parses this page for links to files on the same host. Most web server directory index listings are supported, last modified timestamps are also extracted where possible to allow re-download of updated files. However any HTML page that contains links to files may be parsed.

See HTTP/S download file extensions for server-side configuration.
