Installation
The Downloader package is distributed as a single MSI file. It is necessary to run the install as an Administrator, in order to set up the service and directories as required. Review the End-User License Agreement. If you agree check I accept the terms in the License Agreement and click Next.
The installer contains the following components:
Client application.
GUI to connect to an instance of the Downloader service. Manage settings, connections and downloads. This component is free to install on as many machines as you wish.Windows service.
The engine room of the Downloader, this service performs all functions and runs in the background as a headless Windows service. Each service installation requires a license, but allows connections from as many clients as you wish.
By default both the Client application and Windows service components are selected for install, which is the case for a single machine install. If you are doing a client/server implementation, select only the required component.
Click Next, then Install. You will see a progress bar showing installation progress, then the completed screen. Click Finish.
If you chose to install the Windows service this will be installed as FuseIT Downloader Service. It may start immediately, but could require manual start after install. Note this will not allow any downloads to occur until correctly licensed.
If you chose to install the Client application, shortcuts will be added to the desktop and start menu.
