Add a new Salesforce Data Export Connection

Click Add/Authenticate… on the menu and choose Salesforce Data Export. An in-application browser window will appear to complete the Salesforce OAuth2 authentication process.

Note you may need to click the Use Custom Domain link if connecting to a sandbox or your organization does not allow login via login.salesforce.com.

If your organization has multi-factor authentication (MFA) enabled, you will be prompted for a authentication challenge after entering your username and password. Important: use a login that does not have the High Assurance MFA setting enabled. This setting causes a challenge on every connection and thus will not allow unattended connections.

Salesforce will finally prompt to allow access to your organization data.

Click Allow, and the Connection will be added to the Downloader.

You will also be prompted for the file download location - this can always be changed later if need be, but downloads will not run until this location is set. Only folders that exist and are accessible on the service host may be selected for this location.
