Send2CRM Assistant: Setup
Install from Chrome Web Store
An initial release of Send2CRM v0.1 is now available in the Chrome Web Store. Open the listing page and click Add to Chrome:
Accept the required permission to access salesforce.com to continue.
This extension is targeted to Google Chrome v102 and above. It should also work in other Chrome-based browsers such as Microsoft Edge.
Configure
After installing the extension, pin it to the toolbar for ease of access.
The extension is enabled on a per-website basis. Browse to your Send2CRM-enabled website, click the icon in the toolbar, then the Active for <website.domain> link.
The first time you activate for each website Chrome will request additional permissions, which must be approved to continue.
As of v0.1 there appears to be an issue that means granting permission and enabling does not always occur in one step. After granting permission, refresh the page and click the activate link again, the Insights should appear.
The Insights details will appear in the popup. Click the Connect… link to set up a Salesforce connection.
The Salesforce authentication process will begin in a new tab. Login to the same org as the main Send2CRM integration on the website, with a user that has API access to Send2CRM objects. If you need to login to a sandbox or custom domain, click the Use Custom Domain link at bottom right.
On successful login, Salesforce will ask whether to allow Send2CRM access. Click Allow.
The authentication tab will close automatically on success. You can now see the connected Salesforce org in the popup. This org is connected only for the website shown.
To remove and forget the Salesforce org connection, click the red Disconnect icon. To disable the extension for the website, click the close (X) icon at the top of the Insights panel.
Extension options can be accessed via the Options link at the bottom of the popup.
