Apply segments to visitors when the accumulated value of one or more goals reaches a pre-determined level.
Automation
Create a new automation record:
Automation Name: label for internal identification
Action Type: Apply a Segment
Tested Data Type: Visitor
Active: checked
Name Value: unique code for the segment
Suppress Duplicates: checked
If using multiple goal conditions, the Condition Matching setting can be used to determine whether the segment should apply if any of the goal thresholds are met (OR), or only if a combination of different thresholds are met (AND).
Conditions
Click Add Condition… and create a condition to match a minimum goal value for the visitor:
Condition Test: Visitor has Goal value
Goal Name: <goal code>
Operator: >
Value: the goal value over which the segment should be applied
Add multiple conditions if multiple goals should be matched. This allows segments to be automatically applied based on accumulated scoring in multiple areas, and to await significant values before assigning a segment.
