Licensing S4MC

Overview

S4MC is licensed for a period of time. The Marketing Cloud Member ID number (MID) is required before a license can be issued. 

License Types

The following licenses are available:

  • Short-term trial licenses: These are provided free and typically expire after one to two months
  • Annual subscription licenses: These are paid annually (in advance) and expire after twelve months
  • Perpetual or indefinite licenses: These are issued after a one-time payment and do not expire

S4MC requires one of the above licenses to function.

Finding the MID

Login to your Salesforce Marketing Cloud instance and click on the drop-down next to your account name. Please submit your MID to FuseIT.

IMPORTANT: The MID is often called the Client ID in API documentation. It can also be called the Account ID.

Installing your License 

An S4MC license is an XML file issued by FuseIT. The file ("S4MCLicense.xml") should be copied to your Sitecore server(s) and located adjacent to your Sitecore license. The location of this folder is:

  • By default, stored in the /Data folder of your Sitecore installation or a different
  • Location configured using the LicenseFile setting in Sitecore web.config (or sitecore.config) file
