Usage of S4MC package for Sitecore 9.2

After installing FuseIT-S4MC-1.920.20345.1.zip package on Sitecore 9.2, a new icon will appear on the Sitecore LaunchPad to open up the S4MC mapping wizard.

Usage

To push the Sitecore Experience form data to Marketing Cloud subscribers, please follow these steps:

  • Assign S4MC Save Action to the Sitecore Experience form

 

  • Map the Sitecore Experience form to Marketing Cloud

 

An application on the Sitecore LaunchPad opens a wizard that lets you map the Sitecore Experience form fields to Marketing Cloud subscriber attributes and associated data extensions. The new subscriber can also be mapped to one or more Marketing Cloud Subscriber lists. The following mapping choices are available:

 

  1. Marketing Cloud Connection String: Choose the connection string of the Marketing Cloud instance you want to map the form to. Connection strings are set in the ConnectionStrings.config file.

  2. Marketing Cloud Subscriber Lists: Choose one or more lists (with the keyboard Control key). Be aware that choosing a suppression list may impact your mail-outs.  

  3. Form Field Mappings for Subscriber Attributes: Map each web form field to a matching Marketing Cloud subscriber attribute. Note that email address is required to be mapped.

  4. Additional Matching Subscriber Attributes: If no selection is made, S4MC will create a new subscriber with new GUID for the Subscriber key. If there are any attributes selected from this section, S4MC will try to match any existing Subscribers with these selected attributes and the email address. If it cannot find a matching record, it will create a new subscriber. If multiple subscribers are expected to have the same email address, you can select other fields to force a more granular match. For example, for a family that shares an email address, you could add 'FirstName' as a second matching attribute (second to email address).  

  5. Add Data Extension Mapping: Data extensions add additional attributes to a subscriber. Select this checkbox to map fields to a data extension.

  6. Existing Data Extensions: Select the required extension.

  7. Form Field Mappings for Data Extension: Map the extension to the form fields. Currently, one data extension can be added (this will be extended in time). 

  8. Save Mappings: Save the mappings for future use with the Save Action. 

  9. To remove mappings simply un-map the field and save the form.

 

  • Now, if users submit the above Sitecore Experience form, S4MC will create/update Marketing Cloud subscribers and data extensions according to the mapping.
