S4D Identify Contact Submit Action

This Submit Action allows you to start identifying xDB Contacts straight away. Sitecore behavior for identified Contacts can be synced to Dynamics later.

S4D does not yet have the ability to push Sitecore analytics to Dynamics 365.

This Sitecore Submit Action is provided by a default S4D installation and enables a recognized S4D identifier to be added to the current Sitecore xDB Contact.

This Submit Action must precede any Save to Dynamics Submit Action if you wish the S4D facet to be saved against the Contact, (which includes information on the Dynamics 365 entity created or updated).

A form field must be selected in the “Identify Sitecore Contact by” dropdown. Typically this would be an email address but it allows any valid field that you wish to use as an identifier. The value of this field will be saved as the S4D identifier, unless empty.

Optionally you may store the Sitecore Alias Id of the xDB Contact in a form field. This is useful if staging table objects are used or a reference to the identified Contact is needed.

The Submit Action also offers optional functionality to save the built-in Sitecore preferred Email and Personal Information facet values from form fields if you wish.

Contact identification requires the Sitecore Tracker to be running.

S4D includes significant debug logging output to help troubleshoot any problems.
