To install the Security Connector in Sitecore you need the following:
Installation of the required package into Salesforce to add the fields required for usernames and passwords. See Install Security Connector in Salesforce (Optional)
- Sitecore CMS 6.0.2 Rev. 090507 (Recommended minimum). This will ensure the defaultProfileItemId attribute is available in the domain configuration section.
- The S4S Core package (which includes the contact and lead Security Connector functionality)
It is possible to use Sitecore CMS 6.0.1 Rev. 090317 (Sitecore CMS 6.0.1 rev. 090212 plus the Sitecore CMS 6.0.1 Update rev. 090317 package)
- The AJAX Control Toolkit DLL must be installed into the Sitecore bin folder for Starter Kit installs – see http://www.asp.net/AJAX/downloads/
Sitecore DMS Analytics Database Backup
If you have Sitecore DMS installed, you will need to back up your Analytics database before you install the S4S package.
 | IMPORTANT: Installation of a package that contains Site pages into Sitecore can cause an error in the Analytics database. Use the backup of the Analytics DB after successful S4S installation if required. |
