Synchronization

Synchronization of data between Sitecore and Salesforce can be done in 2 ways using either or both methods to achieve a result:

1. Individual Salesforce Objects - This method is used to configure the synchronization of individual Salesforce objects to occur at specified intervals. Setting up the synchronization is covered in the following pages:
   
   
   • Connection String - Configure the connection string to the M4S database.
   • Synchronization Administration - Configure which Saleforce Objects to synchronize and how often to synchronize them.
   • M4S Synchronization Sitecore Agent - Configure the Sitecore Agent that schedules the M4S synchronization.
     
     
2. Salesforce Data Export - This method reads the file that is generated by the Salesforce Data Export and updates the data in the M4S database. It is only possible to run this weekly or monthly, and can be used as a way of doing and initial import of data and ensuring that the database gets a full refresh.
