S4S is not used with Sitecore Federated Experience Manager (FXM) or Sitecore Print Experience Manager (PXM). S4S libraries can be used by any ASP.NET application on the Sitecore server to programmatically access Salesforce.

All core S4S libraries require at least Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 (which is compatible with later framework versions). The core libraries of S4S release 1.7.XXXX and above also reference Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 but the FuseIT.S4SMapping.dll and FuseIT.S4S.WebToSalesforce.dll files have dependencies on .NET Framework 4.0. These dlls provide the mapping functionality for the S4S WFFM wizard and push the web tracking statistics to Salesforce.
